My father wants to help one of my nieces with her basic math skills, and my mom suggested I loan them a couple of "those green computers". Of course, I had a few to spare, even after the GF and her kid raided my Newton parts bin last year. :O) I gave pops an MP 2100 and an eMate, both set up with some basic math apps, a few games, and a novel or two for Pops to read in his spare time. I showed him how to use a few apps and loaned him an owners manual, too. I encouraged him to use the IrDA and 'VideoPhone' as a teaching tool as well. Looks like the battery life on my remaining Newton MP sucks dog @$$, so I may be switching to a battery tray. We'll see how Dad's tutorial experiment pans out.
