Well I didn't think it was a waste of time as I didn't know about this.
  Very interesting. The sad thing is though the reason it is noted in a
toy form as for a long time it was considered a "scribble pad" or a toy.
  And I don't think it every truly lost that view held by the general
public. If it had, Jobs may not have killed it. :/ Granted if the
Newton was allowed more time I am sure that would have changed (it was
starting too when Jobs pulled the plug). Oh well, at least we are
keeping the green. ;)
