[NTLK] Problem 'filing' Notes

Hi all,
I have been on this list for a while ever since buying a MP 2100 about a year ago. A couple of days ago I installed a 'demo' of More Folders (from Standalone) but couldn't get it to work as I had hoped and have since removed it.

However since then whenever I try and open and file a 'new' note it remains within the 'Unfiled' folder rather than in the appropriate folder. I would be grateful if anybody could possibly help me solve this one as I have run out of ideas.
