suddenly decided not to reply properly. (It may have
happened a long time ago, but I don't send many
messages with it.)
Anyway, the biggest problem you'd face leaving the LCD
on all the time is shortening its life. There seems
to be a correct amount of use/non-use that keeps any
device alive.
If you don't need the LCD on, I'd suggest setting the
Newton to sleep (in prefs) after 5-10 minutes. (It'll
also save your battery.)
