Thanks to everyone who replied with offers. I got sorted with a direct swap in the end. I now have to take better care of my current newton ;)
BTW: The RS232 port was not a SER-001, but rather a "Padilla-001". That is, wires soldered directly to the PCB.
Cheers,
Damien

Subject: [NTLK] WTT Europe: Dead 2100 and/or 3C589D for AC
Hi All,
I've had a bad newton-month. Left my power adapter in the US, and the hotel never \
replied to emails. Then my son stood on my battle newt and cracked the screen (it \
was already cracked, but not too badly). Therefore, I'm down to one newt, and \
looking for a new adapter. If anyone in Europe has a spare adapter, I'm open to \
trades.
The newton is in a pretty bad way. The case is cracked, and the bios board has some \
local corrosion (maybe will clean up OK). The screen is badly cracked. I installed \
a mini DIN RS232 port and a permanent NiMH battery. The battery has been pulled. \
It's really only for parts.
I'm mainly looking for an AC adapter, but also a rechargable (dead or alive; I'll \
recell anyway).
I can also put some cash (your currency) in.
I'm in Denmark, and will pay postage from here.
Cheers,
Damien
