Allow me to kick in my two cents on this topic:
I have observed that some problems with 'false stylus input' can be attributed to the actual setting for the stylus point itself. There is a free program called 'Styles +', which allows the user to easily make several different setting changes, including the preferred size of the stylus point input (There may be other ways to change such settings, but this is the app that I use).
Sometimes, if one is forgetful and has left the stylus point setting at something larger than one or two points (for example, if you were creating artwork with one of the thicker pen stylus settings and forgot to change the stylus point size when you went back to writing notes), the note-taking apps will not respond well to stylus input. I find that the '1 pt.' or '2 pt.' stylus point settings produce the best recognition results, and for ease of use, I almost always use the '2 pt.' setting.
I'm really surprised that I have not seen anybody else comment on the influence of stylus point setting on overall writing performance. It really can make a significant difference.
Warmest regards,
Matt the K.
