A simple observation that might help.
It seems that there are two issues
1) people are applying pressure on the case in how you hold or lean on
it while writing.
2) the case is a bit warped which maybe due to the holding of the
Newton in portrait orientation.
It would be good if a SURVEY could be done regarding people who have
experienced an onset of Jaggies with their Newton (not received one
that way already) if they are left handed or right handed.
The main issues seems to be (possibly) that when holding your Newton
that you hand (right thumb - if left handed, and your index through
ring finger - if right handed are pressing on the flip cover
latch/side which is where the shaving of plastic is done to alleviate
the jaggies...
Continually pressure here is likely causing the digitizer layer to malform.=
..
I'd venture to guess that leaving your unit alone and maybe trying
some medium to high heat on that side of the digitizer and letting it
cool might help... this might restore the digitizer to a natural
position... but this is a guess into left field... of course...
