Les,
this strongly depends on the type of charger you use.
There are very simple ones that apply a constant current only and you can of
course use them (this is most probably the one of WalMart),
but as soon as the charger is a so called quick charger taht applies high
charging currents and detects the end of the charging process
automatically - make sure that the manual says that it is suited for both
NiMH AND NiCd, otherwise you risk to damage your NiMHs.
