The Arkham Dossier

Selected Reports and Protocolls filed 1923-1935 by Howard P. Lovecraft

This dossier collects the following documents chronicling certain
disturbing events that took place in, nearby or relate in any way to
the city of Arkham or Miskatonic University, during the first four
decades of the 20th century:

The Unnamable, a protocoll dated Septembre 1923.
It has been suggested by several authorities on the subject that the
narrator of these events "Carter" may have been Randolph Carter or a
relative to him. Unfortunately, the protocoll itself does not specify
where and from whom Lovecraft obtained this singular statement.

The Festival, written in Octobre of 1923.

The Silver Key, written in 1926.
Discusses mysterious disappearance of Randolph Carter, contains ominous
reference to Ulthar "beyond the River Skai".

The Strange High House in the Mist, written Novembre 9, 1926.

The Colour Out of Space, written in March of 1927.

The Dunwich Horror, written in 1928.

The Whisperer in Darkness, written Septembre 1930.

At the Mountains of Madness, dated March of 1931.
Covers the ill-fated and much-rumored Miskatonic University Antarctic
Expedition of 1930. Incidentally mentions Leng and Kadath amongst many
other unspeakable thing.

The Shadow Over Innsmouth, written in 1931.
Detailed description of federal investigation and drastic measures
taken by the authorities in the harbour town during winter 1927-28.

Dreams in the Witch-House, written January through Febuary of 1932.

The Thing on the Doorstep, written in August of 1933.

The Shadow Out of Time, written in March of 1935.
Statement of late Professor Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee, former member of
Department of Economy, Miskatonic University, concerning his amnesia
and strange behaviour of 1908-1913 and his expedition to Western
Australia in 1935, as preserved in Lovecraft's report to the President
of M.U..

Note: The following three reports that also relate to Arkham have
already been released to the public as separate electronic
publications:

The Picture in the House, written Decembre 12th, 1919.

Herbert West: Reanimator, written Sep 1921-mid 1922.

The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath, written in January of 1927.
Contains reference to 1920 document The Cats of Ulthar; also references
Pickman's Model (written 1926, published October 1927 in Weird Tales),
which describes the grotesque occurances in Boston involving the
justifiably infamous painter Richard Upton Pickman which so enraged the
public at the time.
