for Newt's Cape, I usually respond within a few hours after I receive
notification from PayPal or Kagi if it's during daylight hours, or at
least by next day (unless I'm travelling -- then it might be 2-3 days).

no implementation of a PNG translator that I'm aware of. the basic
steps would involve registering the plugin as a Newt's Cape helper
app (and following some special calling conventions for graphics
since these are handled within the document like .gif and .jpg rather
than a separate doc), converting PNG to a Newton bitmap-compatible
format (while mapping colors to b&w, ,4 or 16 grays). how many sites
these days rely exclusively on .png rather than other formats?
