Check your timezone map and your worksite card. The newt brainwipes to
thinking it's in Cupertino. If you haven't set that correctly, the newt
may show a time that agrees with your ET wall clock, but be thinking
it's on PT. Your mac is correctly set to EDT. Email will reveal this
discrepancy as it includes timezone information with its timestamp.
You may wish to install (IIRC) NetTime, which will be able to sync
your newt's clock to the correct time whenever you establish a network
connection, and do so in a timezone-aware way. If the newt clock stops
agreeing with your wall clock, it will be necessary to adjust the
timezone, not the clock.

27. I will never build only one of anything important. All important systems
will have redundant control panels and power supplies. For the same reason
I will always carry at least two fully loaded weapons at all times.
