On that, check out the Hitachi Travelstar 5K100's - according to the
white papers (which you can choose to believe or not) they use about
the same power as a 5400... I have an older one that I put in almost
two years ago and to be honest I noticed no significant change in my
battery life - it is a 2.5" drive so it just isn't as much of a power
hog as larger drives running more often in a desktop system is my
guess...
