As another IT guy who gets pulled away from his lovely Linux Workstation
to admin Windoze Boxen too often, I can vouch for the fact that the notion of accepted practices on
Windoze Systems is, along with several thousands of dollars of debt,
the only thing that separates Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers from
those of us who just prefer to get the damn thing working and be done
with it.
I also don't think that, having neglected the command line component of
their operating system, Microsoft really cares if you put a damn space
between commands and switches.
Thank God for Cygwin.
