I'll be in Northport this weekend, too bad... My sister lives in Chicago
Metro land, so when visiting her it would be great to meet up for a Chicago
mini-Newton meeting.
The Ir pkg's are from Eckhart K. on his website www.40hz.org and they allow
the Newton to communicate with current Ir protocols of today's machines... I
would suggest paruzing his site to become familiar with his software
offerings.
I know nothing of synching with Mac's, but I know you can transfer files
back and forth with the IR as well as install packages. Which is all I've
ever needed. My work life is based on my Motorola MPX 220, IMHO the best
phone/pda on the market. But for play or vacation I preferably ignore my
work and switch over to the Newt, so synching isn't an issue for me.
Oh, by the way, never feel bad about asking questions in regards to
MessagePad usage - the sole purpose for the list, again IMHO.
Welcome to the fold (addiction) and start a budget column for your new
"hobby", you're gonna need it!
Best Regards,
Paul Curtis

Hey guys, I'm up for this Saturday if its OK with you. Anyone want to set up
a location for a meetup? I'm in Roger's Park so I'm not that far from LS.
Maybe we could pick a neutral place to meet. And YES, I'll pick you up on
that offer for the USB->Serial dongle !!!!
