Hello Newtonfolk:

Just wanted to announce the completion of another USEFUL Newton eBook.
This one covers the history of China through 1911. Anything you ever
wanted to know about the people themselves, the rise of the dynasties,
their art, culture, literature, medicine, religious beliefs, methods of
warfare, and philosophy. I've only glanced through it while editing
the source text for the book, but I'm starting in on it this afternoon!

From the Preface:

The aim of this work is to suggest a rough outline of Chinese
civilization from the earliest times down to the present period of
rapid and startling transition. It has been written, primarily, for
readers who know little or nothing of China, in the hope that it may
succeed in alluring them to a wider and more methodical survey.

Ain't that great? You can leverage the Newton to do some fancy
book-learnin'. Improve your mind, expand your horizons, see the world
with new perspective. What's all this cost, you ask? Not a damn
thing. :O) Look for this new title and others at your friendly
neighborhood Newton Library (Ahem, that would be the wonderful
repository run by our friends Marty, DJ, and Matt).
