The Sydney Morning Herald site is quite quick:
www.smh.com.au/handheld/
The opening page takes 2 minutes to load on an emate but the linked articles
take less than a minutes.
Much quicker than the BBC text only site. Maybe its because it doesn't rely
on the Betsie parser to strip out graphics but just presents the information
natively in text?
I imagine (since I only have a Newton) that all pdas must have this problem
with rendering websites in a timely manner since the cpu speeds haven't
improved that much since the Newton was first introduced.
Warm regards
