Thanks for your replies! The constant noise actually keeps one from
thinking straight, a really interesting experience. I will go the
route of letting the cap drain overnight as Dan suggested - since I
cannot even log into the newton due to the constant reminders - &
then go back to the core of the problem, as Marco described. It is
truly strange to see the Newt's prime quality - it never forgets -
turn into a problem.
