more than likely that card is toast. I've found that the higher the capacity of the card, the greader potential of it dying for no apparent reason.
They usually die when they are removed from the Newt improperly, or if the Newt is hard reset with the card still in the slot.
I've got a Pretec 32mb for my main card and have been lucky thus far, but there have been others on this list that have suffered catastrophic failures on these cards...It's all a case of YMMV.

Hry,
I have a problem with my pretec 32MB linear flash card. I had been using
it in my 2100 for a while. When I got an eMate last october I
transferred files onto the eMate with the 32MB card. later I noticed
that it said it didn't recognize the card. It's been sitting around for
a while, now I finally tried it in my 2100, but it says "there is a
problem with this card(Newton cannot recognize this type of card)
So is it fried? is there some way of resetting/reformatting this card to
get it to work again?
Thanks,
Owen
