My understanding is...no. This only works with CF and SM cards inserted
into a PCMCIA adapter, inserted into the PCMCIA slot on the Newton. SD and
other card formats are not currrently supported, that I know of. This may
be because there are no PCMCIA adapters for other card formats.

And in any case, due to the unusual file system that the Newton uses, you
will not be able to meaningfully read the card or it's data in any other PC
or device other than the Newton.
