try starting the machine holding down four keys (really) command(the
open apple key) and option and O and F as in open firmware.
This should drop you into a scary looking command line.
Try typing:
reset-all
at the command line and you computer should reboot. Now say the
prayer of choosing.
You can also try holding down command/option P/R which will work if
the parameter memory contains a glitch.
