According to what I've read, you can use any Newton power supply
without risk to the unit. I think your issue here is that the older
power supply just doesn't supply a large enough "dose" of electricity,
so you get a slower charge. I'm not sure about a CHARGING FAULT
message, but if you're still on original eMate batteries they could
certainly be due for a rebuild or replacement!
