Do a google on "pda friendly sites"; bbc has a text only site; there are
tons of text only sites. If you're in the states some of your major daily
newspapers have them such as usatoday and the washington post. Wikipedia is
relatively light on graphics.

Courier also supports Google searches so it is really useful for that.

I'm not sure the newton can help you on graphics intensive sites as it
doesn't support colour or high res graphics.

I use it to keep in touch with the business news and sports news. HTH

I've tried courier, However my problem is that I don't know of any
text based web-sites

I use alot of graphics oriented web-sites because i am studying to be
a graphics designer and one of the main sites i belong to is
deviantART.
