Every now and then, I'll get a message from some current or past list user
asking me to remove their NTLK post from the Internet for some reason or
another. It dawned on me that perhaps not all of you have read the list FAQ,
so I'll quote the list FAQ here:

any of the archives. For one, this would be altering the public record of
what happened on the list, and we wish to preserve this for as long as we
can. Also, MARC will only remove messages if ordered to do so by an

What does this mean?
It means that if you think you might ever regret sending something to the
list, **DON'T POST IT.**
This might be that flame you just spent a few hours composing, or the fact
that your signature contains all four of your phone numbers, your home and
work addresses. If you post it, it WILL get archived, and yes, you will
probably have to sue me and MARC, not to mention archive.org, to get it wiped
from the Internet completely. This is probably a good rule to follow in general.
