[NTLK] Size of Notes files in NOS 2.0?

Hello Everyone,

Can someone please confirm a couple of things?

Is the maximum size of Note files in NOS 2.0 8k? I've heard both 4k and 8k
given as file size limits.

and

Will I get a warning of some kind as I approach the maximum file size?

Also, while I think of it: is Notion now freeware?

...and, yes, I know that a package like Big Notes allow me to bump up the
file size to 32k or so. Unfortunately, I'm just not set up yet for getting
packages onto a Newton and won't be for some little time.
