[NTLK] Nick's Soft Charge

I have to reset Soft Charge for NiMH every time I start my 2100 otherwise it
defaults to NiCd. Seems like a PIA and very unlike the swift efficiency of
the Newton that I'm convinced I must be doing something wrong. (I'm using
Avi's backdrop.) Any ideas?
