Where can you get such a tablet?

I must admit, in the years I used a Newton (since 1995) I barely used the handwriting recognition. Mainly used the on screen keyboard.

Like a comic book hero, Mac OS X harbors secret super powers below
its staid surface. One such rumored power is the ability to turn your
handwriting into text. However, to take advantage of this amazing
ability you must install a compatible graphics tablet. Only then does
the magic Ink icon appear in System Preferences. However, as I soon
discovered, there may be a good reason why Ink and its handwriting
recognition capability is usually hidden. Hint: think Ink, think Newton.
