[NTLK] Mail V and Gmail

Has anyone had any luck connecting to their gmail account? I can log
in to my university account through IMAP but not to gmail through POP.

I have installed the POP add-on for Mail V but can't seem to find
what's wrong. I get an error message when the software is trying to
connect to pop.gmail.com.

Error: "A communications problem occurred. Connection may have been
dropped"
