Hi Steve.

  The thermistor must be 10Kohm at 25º C, with both pins at one
side.
  The connections are really simple, first pin goes to one pad, the
other one goes to the other pad + battery negative using a thin wire.
There's no polarity.

  Use the big size pictures and it'll become clear.
