Frank is a known specialist in this field.
Learning from his tutorial (Danke, Frank !), I also started doing this.
I'm in Europe too, so that may be inconvenient for American residents.
The process is simple, but takes some time, and you need to send your
actual batt pack, since the thermal resistance is re-used (otherwise,
the batt pack *will* set fire to your house when reloaded in your
MessagePad...).
