Re: [NTLK] Error -48402 in Extras - corrupted system information

Well, with the help of Sonny Hung (thanks!) I've narrowed it down to
corrupted system information. I backed up the internal store to a card
and tried restoring it to a spare newton my husband and I picked up
when they were going cheap in lots of ten. If I restore only the system
information to a clean newton, I get the error. If I restore everything
except the system information to a clean newton, I get no more errors -
but all of my software is unregistered again :-(

I'm googling around to see if there's any way of recovering
registration info from system information or otherwise fixing said
information, but I'd greatly appreciate a pointer (or the news that I'm
SOL and have to dig up my 8-year-old payment information and the
program authors' contact information again) to speed my newton's
recovery.

Thanks to anybody who can offer any help.

-Rhonda
