its not a new NTK, but what the heck – it works, and i know simon has
been using it since 2002 at least. i think you should go back to the
slides presented at WWNC back in 2004 and ask why this hasnt been
discussed as an alternative instead. its opensourced, BTW...

Implementation of a NewtonScript Interpreter

Abstract

I have implemented a NewtonScript interpreter in C++ using the Xcode
development environment in Mac OS X. This paper describes how the
Newton objects environment, available as a framework, may be used to
aid the development of Newton C++ modules in Xcode rather than the
Macintosh Programmer’s Workshop (MPW). I justify modifications made
to the original Newton implementation. The interpreter is currently
used in an implementation of the Newton view system.
