well we did'nt actually lose the entire machine. we did have about 10
commands that worked hehehhehe

spent almost 3 days trying to recover. that was also when we found out
our backups didn't work either :-( my first real sysadmin test <sigh> it
gets funny is a strange sort of way when a command that worked a few
hours ago doesn't work anymore. that is how we found we had a problem in
the first place.

so I learned that testing means testing everything!! and geeksafe is one
of those things that you want to test really well. but not on live data ;-)
