I don't know that this will necessarily work for you, but try a
Rotring 600 if you can find one in a fine or extra-fine point. It's a
stiff nib and lays down a very consistent line. In an extra-fine
point you could almost use it in place of a Rapidograph. Or you
couldn't go very wrong with a Rotring Initial Data Point, which you
can use with your Newt, too! (see? I brought it back on-topic!)
