Tommy,

to check your version of NOS got EXTRAS, tap [i], select Memory Info.
There you will see what NOS ROM Version you have.
I've got ROM Version 2.1 (717260)

Regarding Freezing that's just an unenabled feature that has to be enabled -
you can use various items to enable it...
