in an email I received from this list, and that appeared to have
Simon's return address, on December 27 at 12:30 EST:

So, technically, Simon did not say anything - the email did; and it
did not say to pay, but said he would accept contributions and posted
clear instructions.
I provided the info in response to a question yesterday that appeared
to be from William Pociengel:
"Simon, do you accept paypal or would something in a snailmail
package be
better?"
