http://www.bluap.nl/mac/keycombo.php

has a pile of startup key combos.

You want command-option-o-f
When you've booted into open firmware, type in "eject cd" (without the
quotes of course.

Cheers,
Dan.

Subject: [NTLK] [OT] CD Cube eject how

Sorry to be such a pain in the ass, but I knew and now I forget.

How do you trick a cube to eject the CD ?

I know the secret switch button thing and did it before, but now I
forget. And I don't remember if it was an electrical, or mechanical, or
a physical connection.

Any Mac Cube Tekies out there know?

Suppose also I can boot from an external firewire hard drive and then
launch iTunes and click on the eject button, bla bla bal, etc.,

.....but still, and if you don't know what I'm talking about, that's fine.

Just shooting in the dark. Don't want my cube to be injured ;-)

John
