This was a few years ago, but Apple has actually explicitly stated that they
think personal computers as we know and love/hate them today do have a
future - the whole Digital Hub thing. And I think the iPhone fits in with
this. It's all about the syncing and the large harddrives... Apple TV
doesn't have a harddrive, does it?
Apple's vision of the future is an iPhone in every pocket, an Airport
basestation on every street corner, an iMac on every desktop, a MacBook in
every backpack, and a .Mac account for everyone...
