there is no file name... it comes out of a .sit file, and when
expanded is only called something like fs983 (as an example, I threw
out the file, but it was alphanumeric and that's all)

it's the CP-US-03 cable

and no such luck with system profiler, as I said, it is only seen as
a "usb device" with no more info than that, so it is not seeing it as
anything in particular, and not seeing it properly
