[NTLK] Backlight auto on, part three

I finally went drastic: pulled out the battery and the RAM card, let it
sit for 24 hours.
Restarted, first without the card/applications. Everything was fine,
i.e. no auto-on backlight.
I made sure no possibly offensive applications were on the card, then
rebooted and loaded the card's applications.
Voila: problem is gone.
I'll stay away from Option(en) and I don't use MoreInfo.
Thanks to all who made suggestions. I appreciate the help.
