I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. I'd never switch to a smaller
PDA because a) I like a larger screen and b) the killer app for me
is notes. Yes, I do use the diary, Works and countless other other
apps (having a dictionary on there is useful for instance) but it's
notes that gets the most use. Using a smaller format device is
simply impractical for even moderate amounts of text.

Having said that, yes, the Newt is dying and I wish there was
something to replace it. Its biggest limitations nowadays (poor
connectivity, lack of eg USB, etc) can simply be summed up as age,
and of course it's only going to get worse with time. But I'm sure
I'm not alone in having looked unsuccessfully for a mid-format
device with similar battery life and pratical data entry. That's
all I really need, but ten years later there still has been nothing
to replace it.
