Well it fired up, but I don't have any disks for it here at work, I have some ancient 400k ( i think) floppy disks at home so tonight I 'll have to give it a whirl. and see what it does. I was even able to eject the floppy disk in the side drive, ready for this? Appleworks 3.0 on floppy!
There was an old TRS80 with the cassette drive at well but the box looked like it had been in a flood so I doubt it would have worked. Should have picked that up too...

>>Just out of my driveway and street, not more than 1/2 mile from my house someone had set out a number of Apple boxes that caught my eye. I first thought they were empty boxes as it is illegal to put used computer equipment to the curb for trash pick up where I live. I figured I had nothing to lose. I did a u-turn and went back and found to my surprise an Apple IIc Plus along with a color display and 5 1/4 floppy drive all in the original boxes and styrofoam. The Apple is now at my desk here at work warming up; fortunately the weather has been thawing here as hasn't gotten above 20 for 3 months until this weekend. It was out overnight at least one night as I drove down the road yesterday and didn't see it, or it was put out early this morning.

>>I just did a quick clean up and I am letting it warm up before plugging it in to see if the 20 year old beast will fire up! This beats paying $2.50 for a 40 meg SCSI hard drive for my Mac plus last summer, this was free!
>>
>>Cool find IMHO as it takes me back to the typing away on the Apple IIe as a kid in grade school.
>>
>>I'll those who are interested know what happens with it.
