Not exactly true. There is nothing like Newton Connection Utilities (NCU),
but there are some Linux tools. One I use a lot on my FreeBSD box is
UnixNPI, which is a command line package installer. Look here:
<http://unixnpi.sourceforge.net/>. Apparently some people do a lot with a
plain vanilla terminal interface. There is a Unix program called newtl
which I am unable to get working, because it is so old, which wants to
inteact with sloup, a program that needs to be installed on the MP. I can't
say how useful it would be.

Last, but not least, you can install Wine on your Linux box and use that to
run NCU for Windows. I have never tried it, but reports are that it works
well. You will probably want to install the version built for your
distribution, but in any case here is the Wine web site:
