I'm a fan of the Waterman Phileas, they are an entry level pen that's
not
overly expensive ($30-40) and has a good feel and ink flow. The Phileas
comes with a converter cartridge, so you can use bottled ink and/or the
plastic ink carts. I have only used Waterman ink so far. I'm not
picky
with ink color; standard black is fine with me.
