Hi everyone,
I just recently bought an eMate on eBay (item number: 330112602607),
and when it arrived, I was unhappy to find that a) the rechargable
battery was totally, completely dead, and b) despite what the listing
said, the charger that came with the unit was not a 9 watt eMate
charger (were the eMate chargers even supposed to be 9 watts?), but
some generic 5 volt, 1.0 amp, 8 watt charger for a "Backpack
Bantam",which appears to be an outdated external CD burner.
I just installed a new rechargeable battery pack in the eMate, but I
don't want to damage it by trying to charge it with the wrong
charger. I'm trying to get ahold of the seller to get the correct
charger, but in the meantime, do you think I could be damaging the
eMate or the new battery pack by using it with the charger I have?
Thanks!
