No. it's not common sense. Common sense seems to indicate that
smaller software vendors actually can help fix bugs in there software
and also are much more likely to be interested in helping individual
users. This means there tools might actually be made to work right
for us with the Newton.
Just because Microsoft word is adopted by most people is no reason to
act rudely about other configurations.

What are you retarded? You use a Newton? Everybody normal uses a
Microsoft PocketPC or Palm. Give it up you fool!
