well you could start with UNNA which has a selection of sounds. they are
in pkg format but I'm not certain of the underlying process to start
from scratch. for that you have to search further as I was never big
into having more than a few easily recognizable sounds. even today on my
mac I use few audio clues as it's easier to remember what they mean if
they stay consistent for a period of time.
