[NTLK] Two Separate eMate Displays Dead: How Come?

Hi, fellas! Another newbie, thrilled to have found you. I'm trying to
resurrect two eMates. Quick question for your expertise: what, other
than a punctured display cable, could result in two suddenly dead
touchscreen displays on two different machines? Is it my magnetic
personality?
