Good luck on finding one. They are a lot of fun. Have you seen the
YouTube movies I made demonstrating the Newton color movies? A lot of
people I think couldn't believe that slide show was actually done on a
Newton (that and the music as well.) Also the movies that show various
media being played on a Newton.
Fun card. :)
Remember, somethings bypass the NewtonOS and will not show on the EZ2VGA
or EZ2TV (I've had both). One being the Newtendo (Nintendo) emulator.
I was real disappointed when I got my EZ2VGA card to enjoy that aspect a
bit more and found it didn't past displaying the control buttons. :(
But the COLOR!! (All 256 colors) I wanted to create color routines for
web browsers and term programs, as well as the Newton picture viewers,
but then someone offered me a NICE offer for my card and I was like
"Ok!" :D
Don't miss it all that much. I had fun with it, but it was sitting
around by the time I got the offer for it. Now days I just point a A/V
camera at the Newton when I want a Newton displaying on a screen. Works
almost as good. And THAT displays Newtendo. :P
Here's another thing, by using the camera method, I can have a FULL
desktop. I can display on a larger screen, I can have a large memory
card AND a Ethernet card, and then with the dual serial port I can have
sound out, and a serial line to a keyboard of some type (Atari 800 is my
preferred, though Atari ST is also good).
Used to be when I tried the Newton as a desktop trick, I would be
limited to a EZ2VGA in one card slot, and either Ethernet or a large
card in the other. As long as I could work with the internal 4 mb
(which I could) I was fine. But with such memory limitations it was
like having a Mac SE all over again, black and white screen and all.
Well, enjoy!!

Anyone have an EZ-VGA up for grabs, let me know off-list.
Thanks.
