[NTLK] Newton Update - Looking for eMate?

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I've said anything on the list. Thanks to
Joel at Inventors Emporium, I've had a MessagePad 2000 for the past
few weeks and have enjoyed using it very much. I've have no
connectivity with other machines and the touchscreen doesn't align
properly but it's still been a great learning experience. The
simplicity of Newton is lovely and I've been doing a lot of note
taking as part of my revision for exams.

However, for my usage, I still feel an eMate 300 would be better. I
have a Treo that I use for organisation and communication on the move
so getting a tablet Newton seems pointless. For writing and note
taking, an option is to either get an eMate or get a Newton with a
keyboard. A MessagePad with keyboard is fine but requires extra wires
and is not as durable as an eMate. Therefore, I went on eBay and
purchased an eMate for around £30 but it has not arrived after nearly
three weeks! The recorded delivery ID says it has not been delivered
yet so one can assume it has been lost in the post. I'm in the long
process of attempting to recover the money as we speak.

Therefore, I'm calling out to anyone - do you have any eMates for
sale - particularly ones in good condition with a good battery? I'm
interested in anything but ones with a fixed hinge would be even better.

Thanks

Seb
