[NTLK] email on the Newton

Thanks for the suggestions of free email providers. I tried hotpop, bluebottle and fastmail, and installed them on my Owner Info email access, but they all refused to connect and said I needed to upgrade to one of their non-free services. I shall try some of the others.
 
Does anyone on the list successfully use a free email provider, and if so which one? Has it worked out OK?
